Regretfully, I have to inform you that, after two months of waiting for our submission to be accepted, we now discover that the iTunes podcast directory will, apparently, not be putting up any more sex-related podcasts.

It is even more of a shame because apparently they love the rest of the Resonance podcasts, but they won't take ours.

Oddly enough, having made this decision, they seem to be leaving the existing sex podcasts in place. No fair! I'm not saying they should take anyone else's show down, of course, but we seem to have a slight door-horse-bolted situation here.

If we were a pair of muttering porn freaks, marking celebrity tits out of ten and giving each other high fives every time the squeals reached a certain pitch, OK. But we're a chat show, dammit! And a good one as well, though we say so ourselves. ;-)

I must thank the other podcast directories for listing us, and you all for your ongoing support.

Sigh.

SUNDAY 25th SEPTEMBER - INCEST

Midnight Sex Talk is back in the studio this Sunday, when we'll be discussing incest. Why is it such a taboo? The reasons may be more practical than moral.

The Oedipus story started it all off, and Freud took it up with a vengeance. To the left, Anais Nin, who wrote an account of her affair with her father.

We're well aware that a lot of incest is child abuse, and vice versa, but in the the case of The Family, this has more to do with power and easy access than anything else. In the case of consenting adults, however, Genetic Sexual Attraction can, and does, occur.

Movies like Deliverance show us everyone's worst nightmare of an inbred community. We'll be speaking to a geneticist who's going to explain exactly what's going on when you mix familial genes.

EROTIC AWARDS ROUNDUP

Midnight Sex Talk went all experimental this week, Resonance-style, and told the story in audio clips. Perhaps it was a bit too lateral for our engineer, who suddenly decided to announce the show part-way through. To the left is the lovely Robyn, who you'll hear later on in the show. I'm not going to give you a straight-up list of winners - there'll be one up on the Erotic Awards site soon - but here's a list of the performers who feature in Kim's deadpan commentary.

Come and help Midnight Sex Talk celebrate our First Anniversary on Sunday, when we'll be giving you a full rundown of the Erotic Awards and the Night of the Senses.

Ah, my beauties, it was a great night. There's lots to tell. For now I'll just say that couples performed a wide variety of intimate activities with each other on beds, chaise-longues and racks of various design, and the whole place teemed with transvestites (some temporary, some not), transsexuals, straight couples, gay couples, seasoned old fetish couples walking around chained together, strippers (both ironic and full-time), and many bums, tits and bits proudly displayed. The dress code was strict: full nudity was quite acceptable; jeans and trainers most certainly were not.
