NIGHT OF THE SENSES ON SATURDAY 3RD

A final reminder of the good times in store on Saturday 3rd September at the SeOne club: the UK's best annual fetish party, the Night of the Senses. Sure, there are flashier nights: more fashiony, more rubber-fascist, with size-eight girlies basted the colour of prawn korma running around. But this is a uniquely British event, fetish in the true sense; as depraved, or as polite, as you like.

There's a full dungeon for the proactive; peepholes galore for the voyeur. And there's still time to get tickets. And don't forget, it's all for charity.

We'll be there, up to no good with our microphones. Kim's sorted his outfit; I'm still deliberating...

BANK HOLIDAY BREAK

Strike that. Resonance is taking a week off, and it's repeats-only this week until Monday 29th August. So we're hanging up our gloves this Sunday, and our five-fingered burrito odyssey is on hold for a little while. But we'll be back on Sunday 11th September with our First Anniversary show, brought to you from the Night of the Senses, incorporating, of course, the Erotic Awards.

And it's Kim's birthday tomorrow. Personal movies, money, etc to the usual address, please. ;-)

GROUPIES ROUNDUP

What a superb line-up on Midnight Sex Talk this week! For a start, we achieved a most enlightening encounter with The Reverend D Wayne Love of Alabama 3, who spoke from the upstairs room about his extensive exploits with the ladies. There's something very special he likes done with a toothbrush, girls!

We also managed to get the sublime Marianne Hyatt on the phone, who's up in Edinburgh right now in satirical cabaret A Girl Called George, and who has a very useful technique for getting groupies to back off. We garnered drunken quotes from a wide selection of musicians, who pretty much agreed that The Code Of The Road (see Rule #1) still holds good. Regina Lynn emailed us and balanced our vulgar speculations with something a little more sensible. And Kim admitted once throwing some evil post-gym underwear at a band. Fittingly, we played the show out with Frank Zappa's The Madison Panty-Sniffing Festival. It was a good one. We hope you enjoyed it too. The podcast should be up soon. This Sunday on Midnight Sex Talk we're going backstage to take a look at the unreasonable amount of sex any bloke behind a mic or a record deck seems to get offered, however sweaty and beer-soaked he is. And what makes women, from six to 60, throw themselves at anything with a guitar?

We'll be looking at the famous stuff, sure, (was it really a mudshark, and not a Red Snapper? And did she really come 20 times?), but we're just as interested in real live tales from you lot! Not for the squeamish, I tell you! Joining us on Midnight Sex Talk last Sunday was the most helpful Dr Ben, who explained the medical stuff in excellent detail. Note: next time you ask someone for a 'smoothie' you may get more than you bargained for. We asked you to send us your piercing pictures, but you were all too shy. Tsk! Even a colourful rash would have done.

We had an interview with Dave Tusk of TuskTattoo in Covent Garden, who's been doing body art for nearly 15 years. He's noticed big changes in that time, both in the number of people coming to get pierced, and the number of first timers wanting extreme or genital work done. Kim reported back from KinkFest, which was by all accounts a great success. And we spoke to Gipsy, feline and fabulous dancer and stripper, who has ten genital piercings. I have seen them. There's room for two more, apparently...

Now then...

What do you think of this picture? It's kind of in-your-face, isn't it, but in a very down to earth way, almost as if it happened by accident. There's no decoration or glamour element to it, but there's nothing brutal about it either, you have to admit. So, there's a prize for the best caption. Personally, I find it kind of cute, but I can't find out much about it, except that someone sent it to me, and then I tracked it down on this website. If it's yours, please tell me and I'll attribute it. Then I'll ask if you've got any more. ;-)

OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY

In case you've just found our site - welcome!

This is just to let you know that our First Anniversary Show is coming up on 11th September, when we'll be covering the Night of The Senses in full glorious audio. In the meantime we'll be bringing you a Groupies Summer Special, and a proper look at incest.

Here's a bit about us: We are Tania Glyde and Kim Morgan, and we started Midnight Sex Talk because there was nothing on the radio, (or the telly, for that matter), in the UK or anywhere else, that dealt with sex and sexuality the way we wanted to see it done. It's all either cheesily porn-tastic, desperately worthy (if you're lucky), or a miserable freak show.

We're incredibly lucky being with Resonance FM. There are no advertisers to appease, nor paranoid committees to push paper at. So we're not censored. We've got special guests in the studio every week, and our listeners are welcome to email (see the 'Email me' link on the left), or text us on 07957 362 182.
